Hey Scott, that's so simple, kindly use your head. Why do you need to climb out or sneak out of the window if you can use your front door way stair. Is there a fire or emergency for you needs to sneak out by climbing out of the 2nd story window. Or if you just want adventure of climbing out of the window, use a strong rope, or your bed spread cover use as a rope and rappel down the ground. Please open first the window.

About 4 weeks ago, there was a FOX news bulletin in Las Angelas about a man shooting and killing an intruder in the middle of the night. The intruder turned out to be the mans 16 year old daughter who had snuck out in the night and when she snuck back in her dad killed her. Think before you sneak. Besides, if your parents don't know where you are in the night and something terrible happens to you, how do you think they would feel if you never came back or knew what happened to you. Think about someone besides yourself. Rules are put into place not to be mean or hateful but for safety.

First question: what is down below? If concrete, you need to think about the situation carefully.
A simple rope, better, a rope ladder will suffice. They make them for an emergency fire escape; hang it over the window sill and climb down.
Second question: what are you trying to escape? Sometimes escaping one situation leads to a worse situation. Think it out.
