I'm at a big school but I don't really know many people here and it's my first semester. My roomate is never really around and people in my hall seem to be ricluses. I've randomly talked to some people if I'm walking around and stuff but you can't just be like well what are yall doing and decide to tag along. How can I meet some people to hang out with?

Maybe you can find a group of people that meet for your degree area.

I'd suggest you join a school club--political, theatrical, religious, etc. You will then meet people who likely share your interests. If you are in a dorm, check with the dorm adviser. They have likely dealt with other people who want to meet people. Good luck and hang in there.
