easier for Bush and Congress? You bet.

There was only one person in Congress who had a kid in the military service, when they gave the OK to send our troops to Iraq.

I think a lot of them would have thought longer about the possible outcomes of Iraq, and whether or not we should have invaded, if they had something at stake. Say, the life of their child. Or their sibling. Or their niece, nephew, or grandchild.

I have no doubt that Bush regrets having to do this. But he is doing what has to be done, and is not being swayed by all the whining going on here. The American people really don't understand what is at stake in this war.

Being the President is not an easy job-- no way would I want it. But it is very easy for armchair quarterbacks to bad mouth what he is doing.

This is one of the most ridiculous political memes in American politics, and one that is asked of almost every president who has used military force. It has nothing to with the situation.

Bill Clinton didn't send Chelsea on bombing missions over Serbia.Bush 41 didn't send Jeb to fight in Panama,Richard Nixon didn't send Patricia to invade Cambodia.

The assertion that the president should send his children into combat is nothing more than an emotional ploy, intended to rally support for one's position, and not a an argument that one could sustain on a rational or factual basis.

In other, words, try to come up with a question that presents a logical defense of your position.

Really and when my brother volunteered to serve in the military he volunteered to go to war...... he supports the war and he is an educated professional who had a choice not to volunteer...

So what war is just or for that matter perfect...You complained when bush 1 didn't finish the job and goto bagdad now you are upset that we did go....Make up your mind because the people who live and were opressed for generations in Iraq turned out in higher numbers to vote then people who have had that right for generations do in our own country....

Did Bill Clinton send Chelsea to Bosnia-Herzegovina when he was bombing the Serbs?
By the way, what branch of the military did Bill Clinton serve in? Or Hillary? Or Obama?

Actually that is true I think....

Think about it. If you, like Kerry, had been shot and wounded during a war, I really think you would think longer and harder before sending troops into harms way.

Just like Hillary wants to give 5000 dollars to every child in the USA as long as she is not the one paying for it.
