I have been trying to figure out what my name means since I've been old enough to realize i had a unique name. I am a 19 yr old white girl with the name, Armesia, and i dont know what it means. My mother got it off of a lady that was participating in Wheel Of Fortune and thats all i know about it. If anyone has the same name or knows somebody with the same name as me or if you know what it means or stands for or where it originates from PLEASE let me know!

Kacky's right. It sounds nice. The nearest I've found to it in my dictionary is Artemisia, a variation on Artemis, an ancient Greek Goddess.

The original mom probably just liked the sound of it. It is a pretty name.
