China is biggest, with approx. 1.5 billion people living there and has 1/6 of the worlds population. The next biggest country is India, and even though Japan is physicaly tiny, it has a lot of people living there too.

excluding Russia China ranks as the largest in area and population.Malaysia or Indonesia or India would rank next in area and of course India with about 1 billion people would be next in population.
