I am 5 foot 5 inches, and 15 years old. Trying out for high school girl's basketball. Am I too short?

Well, the hoop's 10 feet up- the closer you are to that, the better. Any 10 foot basketball players out there? Enjoy!

ur probably not gonna grow much more so when u try out .... try out for a point gaurd
A point guard brings the ball up the court you only need height if your plying right under the hoop
plus height is useless if you cant jump the more you jump the higher you will be able to jump
im a 14 year old dude and there are kid taller then me that cant touch the rim but i can (heights worthless if cant jump)

It depends on the position. You would probably be too short to play center. But that could depend on your overall size also.
5'5' on a girls high school team isn't bad. Just work on your fundamentals. Its confidence, skill and focus that make a person a good player.

I guess it depends on the height of the other girls.
If you're really good at basketball height isn't a problem..

No, you're just about right for a guard. But definitely want to be around 5'8" at least, by the time you finish high school if you want to be a guard.

height is not a factor in basket ball skill is look at spud webb mugsey bouges for instance i bet you are goin to be a morden day david in the land of giants you,re goin to do great don,t let size deter you

heck naw, ur a girl freshman most likely good size. Just not going to be a PF/C good pg however. If you tryout you will make it trust me!
