The title for worst U.S. president has to go to Gerald Ford who had no business being a president in the first place. His first action was to pardon the previous president, Nixon, which was in direct violation to our laws and our Constitution. Of course, all of Washington is corrupt with bad politicians who write and pass bills that are either enforced or vetoed by the executive president who by and large, enforce unjust laws that cater only to the very rich and powerful. It always has been that way and it always will.
The most sincere president has to go to Lincoln who had to take on a divided nation to free people of color and a hypocrisy of a Constitution only catered to whites.

The worst President in US History was James Madison.

He took a 100 Ship Navy and declared war on a country with 10,000 ships and they promptly burned down his house.
If not for a Hurricane that followed they would have burned down the entire Capitol.

Second place goes to John F Kennedy.
He was involved in a war during his first 30 days of office.
His campaign promised that the government would respond to the needs of the people and all the citizens would be included. In his inaugural speech, his first day, he said "Ask not what your country can do for you"....etc. a direct contradiction. He tried to re-segregate the military in Oxford.
He intimidated the Russians with listening devices in Turkey so that the cold war was escalated with missiles in Cuba and damned near incinerated the planet. He escalated the war in Viet Nam such that it became the longest war in US history.
He did it all in 1000 days and then his brother forced us to name an airport and a bunch of High Schools after him because he got shot.

Bush Jr...

It would take me a book to explain this one.

Besides the zillion laws and constitutional violations, Bush has divided this country as much as during the Civil War.

George W. Bush
Obvious answer: circumventing the Constitution by allowing wire taps, torture, extending deployment of troops to 25 months, not providing necessary armor for troops, hiring Blackwater Security to do the job of soldiers and marines, no bid contracts like Haliburton, blatantly lying about WMDs, bringing us into a war that has now lasted longer than WW2 with no end in sight, Pardoning Scooter Libby, etc. etc. etc.
Not to mention being a general asshat - "Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?"

in my lifetime,it has to be the current one.
i have never felt so manipulated as an American.
i feel ashamed to call him "my president"
he has trashed all the good things that America stood for.
we are now amongst the liars, cheaters and thieves of the world.
even the majority of the busheeples admit it.

P.S. and it's nice to know that Jimmy Carter started the middle east.......rofl

Recently, I'd have to go with Johnson who forced us into Vietnam.

1800's? Polk who forged documents to show to congress to get them to declare war on Mexico (who simply wanted the anglo settlers not to bring slaves into it's territory in violation of Mexican Law)

For expanding Federal power, FD Rosevelt (or maybe Lincoln).
For nearly starting a needless war with America's natural ally, Polk.
(Others may disagree with that choice)
