Hi! I have read all of the books (Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse). I have to say that I love them all! They are my favorite series. They are really good. =)
Twilight, the first book, is about seventeen-year-old Isabella Swan, a girl who moves to Forks, Washington and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen.
It's fantasy/romance/action.
I think it's a great book for a teen!
Read more about it here;

You'll love it, trust me!

It would seem to be fairly innocuous. It's close to 500 pages long (The epilogue begins on page 481. ). Here's a review from a librarian:
"Name:
Jen Robinson
Location:
Seattle, Washington, US
I'm a Teen Services Librarian which means I get to read the best books.
"This romantic, sexually charged (but not even bordering on explicit*) adventure story about Bella and her vampire boyfriend Edward had me awake and reading until 3am a few nights ago - I guess that means it's an honest to goodness "pageturner." I'm not usually a fan of vampire stories, but Stephenie Meyer's book is an exception to some rules: it's smart, well-written, and believable. I hate when it takes people in vampire books (or movies) forever and a day to put two and two together and realize the kid next to them is a bloodsucking Transylvanian. Bella figures things out quickly and the rest of the story revolves around her reconciling the attraction she has to Edward with the fact that he could kill her any second. More interesting to me, though, was Edward's struggle to control his monster instincts while around Bella - all of this works as a great example of the tangled mess of hormones we seem to be when we're around 16 years old. Bella is a bit of a dull character, but Edward and his family more than make up for it.
There's a sequel to Twilight, entitled New Moon, which I also read this week - I'll be reviewing that one soon!
(* we're talking only kisses, here; however, this is high caliber kissing)
