I will be starting my piano lessons in beginning of November. I should be in grade five now. However i did not practise for many many years. I feel like i am lower than grade five. can anyone please tell me what should i do to improve and what type of pieces or grade should i start practising. Your advice will be a great help to me. Kindly appreciated your help. Thanks!

not being able to watch/hear you play you're going to have to ask your piano teacher. it's ok if you're behind in levels if you haven't had lessons in years. just go over what you do know. i'm sure your piano teacher will want to know how well you play before giving you anything that's too hard for you to play.
