Good point. It is to distract us from Iraq, poor educational results, lousy health care, and infringements on our rights because of boogy man terrorists that W keeps dreaming up to scare us into complicity. What most people forgot is that W was president for 8 months before 9/11, and Bill told him that Osama WAS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT against the USA.

Many American businessmen are Republicans, an some of the hire illegal aliens to work for them.
Illegal aliens work hard, get little or no benefits, receive less pay than legal workers, and are afraid to complain about stressful/harassing work conditions. That is why they are desirable workers.
The Republicans would rather that the illegal immigration situation remained status quo; however, there are too many people who are against the presence of illegals in the US.
Thus, there has been a token attempt to create legislation to solve the problem.
Nothing has been resolved; it is still status quo.
The Republican businessmen are happy.

It will get my republican vote. I'm sick of watching the country I love be raped.
I see your point nomames. But the thing you're missing is that we didn't ask them to come here and we sure as hell didn't tell them to do it the illegal Way. There are plenty of Mexicans and other Latin Americans who enjoy all the luxury's that Americans do.. and why, because they followed the rules and the law. They did it the RIGHT way. People in other countries spend every cent they have work so hard to come here legally. *They* deserve the right to be here, not someone who jumped over a fence in the middle of the night.

it's called not addressing the issue.
America is allowing for employers to hire illegals because their cheap labor benefits all America..... it's just that Americans want the cheap labor but they don't want to actually see the immigrant, don't want him to get sick, don't want his children to attend school, and would rather display more humanity to their dog.... than an actual human being!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's such a paradox

You are not implying they would stoop to using a red herring and that Americans would fall for such a practice?
Why not add to that abortion, gay marriage, stem cell research, etc...

I also not comfortable about these illegals, they are uncontrolable coming to our nation. The goverment must do something about this, I personally don't like it. This has to stop. Stop the employment of illegals, please.
