So there is a use for Dot otherwise there would be nothing for her to do all day.

A marvellous example of Community civility. Taking the washing to the launderette:
Gives vitally needed employment to somebody ie Dot
Saves the householder money in electicity by not having/using a washing machine.
Saves the householder money in the short term by not needing to buy an enormous amount of washing powder that would take months to use. This could be disposable income spent at the Queen Vic, giving employment to the bods that work there.
It takes 5 minutes to take the laundry to the launderette, and 5 minutes to pick it up, cleaned and pressed, compared to at least 2 hours doing the ironing oneself. Thus, if you are a working person, the time saved could be used to earn more money, do other things, chill out and not get stressed, thus making you more productive.
I strongly believe that all service jobs like working in a launderette, home help, meals on wheels, etc should be encouraged, and be tax deductible to get a lot of people back to work.
PS I work abroad so I haven't seen Eastenders in over ten years.

It signifies that each and every individual skill differences contained in the international are linked with a replace in mass. social gathering: in case you lose one thousand Joules by technique of performing some artwork, you free one thousand/(3*10^8)^2 Kgs (=a million.11*10^ -15 Kgs) of weight

I have no idea.
I'm from London originally, and I don't know anyone who didn't have a washer and dryer in their own home.
It's just another crappy scriptwriters' stereotype that's inaccurate.
