It's only my sophomore year and my grades are okay. I do volunteer a lot at the hospital and through key club. I take dance and piano as extra curricular activities. Three of my classes are honors and 2 are not. I did get a couple of B's last year. Junior year i will most likely take one or two AP classes and then senior year about three of four. Is there any hope for me getting into an Ivy League School?

Thanx! Ill run for class council next year and they offer leadership as a class which should be good.
I haven't done any foreign exchange programs but I have traveled around the world a lot. I've been to India, Singapore, Germany, and Paris. I also plan to travel more this summer so i do have a lot of experiences that i could write about.

I think that if you challenge yourself as much as possible, you have a chance!
Keep on volunteering through out all your high school years (colleges LOVE to see that you can stick to something). And when it comes time for you to take the SAT and/or ACT, study study STUDY! (Unfortunately, for me, I get test anxiety and I never do well on tests...) You do need to get slightly better grades though. Remember the kind of people you will be going against in the applicant pool... thousands of kids that are all like you... So step up your game! I know, you're trying, but you have to try harder. Just make your personal goals higher throughout the years. (For example, sophomore year say "I will only allow one B in all my classes", Junior year say "I will only have all A's", senior year: "I will settle for nothing less than my best")
Don't make mistakes (Like I did, and here I am in my senior year playing catch up because I'm 27th out 285 kids, making me dangle barely in the top ten percent)
And to answer your question.
YES
You DO have a chance.
Also, make sure you take the AP Exams and get AT LEAST a 4. And make sure you take SAT Subject Tests in the area that you're planning on majoring in.

The honors and AP classes will be very useful, but you will need to make sure that your grades are more than OK from now on. You would be expected to have mostly As for any of the Ivy League schools, although two in your freshman year probably wouldn't eliminate you. The other thing which you will have to see is how your SAT scores turn out, and it is too early to know that.

Infamous Guitar Heroine gives you good advice. Even if you ramp it all up, there are no guarantees. These schools receive many applications from highly qualified individuals and turn away most people every year. Be sure to consider other schools. Consider early decision if you find the one school you "want," and that school still offers it. Regardless, wherever you end up, make the most of it. Study/work hard, enjoy yourself, be safe and become a productive, helpful member of society!

You might consider running for an office, in the student government or in a club. Leadership skill is a definite plus. Any opportunity to do an exchange program? In your essay, I think it is also helpful to be able to write effectively about your experiences in challenging situations. Best !
