I would suggest that they both have skills attached and perhaps those Americans who do not understand the intricacies of cricket will call it boring , just as those of us outside USA do not appreciate the merits of Baseball .
One difference you could put forward is catching , the cricket ball is much smaller , and a bit harder and only the wicket keeper wears gloves to help him , whereas all the fielders in baseball wear a huge mitt .
I am certainly a cricket fan , even though I do come from Scotland !!! , but having been to a few baseball matches in Canada and Japan I like that too .

Olympian what are you going on about cricket is one of the most skillful sports known to man don't know how you can say it has no skill. As for the question i think cricket, baseball is just slugging the ball whereas cricket is all about finding the gaps and taking the runs a lot more variations in cricket too with spin bowling and fast bowlers developing slower balls. The fielding is far superior in cricket with no catching mits used the ball also come at a greater speed in cricket.

I've heard it said that hitting a home run is the hardest thing in sport because the contact area for a perfect hit is so small. On the other hand, a baseball batter only has movement in the air to contend with, whereas a batsman in cricket has movement off the pitch to consider too. There is also the fact that a cricket ball has a pronounced seam round its circumference, which adds to the movement possibilities - but might mean a pitcher has a harder job than a bowler to move the ball.

To be honest, the top exponents of both sports are full-time athletes who practice their skills constantly. I don't think there's a lot in it.

cricket is about mental strengh, handling pressure and maintaining concentration. cricket requires a high level of fitness and skill to be able to keep a calm head in pressure situation.

In Baseball however there is not much more than handling pressure and hitting the ball as hard as possible and running for your life.

So I conclude by saying cricket requires more skill because it has more dimension then baseball.

Like above: All sports are skillful but a baseball-bat has a smaller area to hit, Cricket and Baseball are both skillful on different parts.. I think.

There are more skills in cricket and cricketers have to perform more roles. Its possible in baseball to just be a great hitter or pitcher but in cricket everyone has to be good at more than one thing. Cricket is a hard game to learn.

Firstly both sports are great. I would say cricket is more skillfull in certain areas. Fielders don't wear catching mitts as they do in Baseball. A batsmen can hit the ball at all angles in cricket wheras a batter in Baseball can only hit or bunt forwards. Then cricketers have to evaluate a whole lot of mathematical data concerning runs per over required, declarations, weather reports involving possible stoppages (British Summers.....cuh)

As a cricketer I would of course say cricket but the joy of cricket is the unpredictability of things you cant control like the grass surface on which you play, before the game everyone studies the wicket surface and expresses an opinion as to wether it will take spin or seam movement or high bounce or worse low bounce where as in base ball you simply sling the ball through the air you could play on tarmac or concrete or grass it would make no difference.
