We need to know a little more, but I can give you some scenarios. Tell us what you have and I can tell you more. Just give me the last letter, like dv9000z or dv9000t
If your graphics card is a 6200, 7300, or 8200 and lower, it will not run it, or maybe at extremely reduced performance.
If its 6600, 7600, 8400 or higher, than it will run it no problem
You will want at least 1.5gb RAM, the difference between 1gb and 1.5gb is huge for gaming. I went from 2fps in BF2 with full settings to 50fps by only adding an extra 512mb of RAM.

ok, we go! half life 2 was made to run on a system with a video card as far back as voodoo3. now the pavillion dv9000 is a laptop. i have not seen anything saying that it will not run on ur system. trying looking for a HF2 demo and run it. If it runs, then the full game should run on the system.
