I just got done watching FOX & Friends, and they seem very angry and quick to bad-mouth him all the time. They say he "spreads lies" and "goes far enough to get Hollywood involved in his money-making scheme."

He's brought attention to the evironment and the climate problem, and he's promoting the use of greener alternatives. How could anyone possibly be against that? Are there any scientific flaws in his arguments? Am I missing something here? I think he deserved to get that prize, no matter how "worthless" you think it is. He's made a difference in our world, and he's a great man.

Because they are stupid, immature, egotistical with a one size fits all mentality with a refusal to listen to common sense. They are really nothing more then big game hunters for their own ideals, and when they find them, they believe them verbatim without any question whatsoever.

That is a real sickness.

Peace

I never thought you could buy a Nobel Peace Prize guess I was wrong. This problem was noted long before Al was born, but yes it's good to promote green. His scientific data is so misconstrued it's a joke but the underlying argument is true.Yes there's global warming...what does he have to lose with a fifty /fifty chance of being right or wrong?

In my opinion Al Gore is insignificant in the real scope of things and is a hypocrite. Do as I say and not as I do is his motto.

It is funny that Al Gore is running around talking about everyone needs to change and use alternative fuels, blah, blah.

But in reality he flys around the world in a plane that produces the most pollutants of any other plane, and once his plane lands he jumps in a big ole SUV that might get 9 miles to the gallon. So who is pulling the wool over who's eyes.

It is no worse than people saying that Bush went to war on lies, well Al Gore got his award with lies.

Climatic changes have been going on for millions of years.

I don't see how he has done anything of benefit, except his own pocket book. after all he owns the company that sells carbon credits. he also told lies in his films and he knows that global warming has nothing to do with what we are doing. He is promoting what the united nations has been wanting for years, the ability to tax us directly and not rely on contributions from the us or other industrilized nations.

co2 tax is perfect, we need oil and gas for heating and transport and without it everything stops and they know it. without oil and gas and coal the entire economy stops, so we pay up because we have no choice. that is why they are patting the heck out of his back. It is extortion and they are trying to get public used to the idea so they don't have a revolution on their hands.

You're surprised that there is stupidity in the world? It's a disease frankly.

It IS a moral issue. Every single person should be concerned about this, not just the government. I see people dump garbage and oil and pain down the sewers, your drinking water. Do you know one litre of oil can contamination millions of gallons of water?

People have to be complete morons and idiots to discount the importance of all this. Your children are going to die of cancer and everyone is being poisoned. Right now your blood contains at least 50 different toxic chemicals in it (and they've proven this) and still people need a bloody brick to fall on thier heads.

Thank God for enough sane people in this world to get things done. As for the idiots, just kick their sorry a.s.s.e.s. out of the way. Nothing like dead weight hanging around is there.

People just find excuses to tear the man down for doing something good. What do any of you do that make you righteous in any way?

Maybe it has something to do with him being a world-class hypocrite. He lives in an energy guzzling mansion, he's travels in energy guzzling motor caravans, he flies in an energy guzzling private jet, he buys his much touted carbon credits from his own company, and he teels the sheeple that they have to be more conservative. Do I even need to point out the major inaccuracies in his beloved movie. A judge had declared that it has to have a disclaimer if it's going to be shown to school children. He's not a great man, he's a charlatan.

I bash the award not the man. Gore is an idiot ansd was before getting the award.

The award became worthless when they gave it to Arafat. A man that has done a lot in his life. Promoting peace was not one of them.

BTW- Global warming is a weather cycle which man has nothing to do with.

If gore didnt know that do you think he would be a bigger pollution machine than most people are?

Because the folks who really deserve peace prizes are the leaders who make hard, and sometimes very unpopular, decisions (including going to war, if necessary).

And the folks who often win these peace prizes are weak or clueless men and women who accomplish very little as leaders.

Humanity has had to deal with people like the global warming nay-sayers for centuries.

They tossed Galileo in prison and nearly burned him at the stake for trying to tell them that the earth revolves around the sun instead of the other way around.
They said (still say) Darwin was wrong (and evil) for saying species are created by natural selection, rather than acts of creation by a god.
The Global warming nay-sayers are just one more in a long tradition of backward-*** foot-draggers.

They are what holds humanity back.

The conservative mentality is about believing in an inflated sense of entitlement. They will never beleive they need to conserve, at least not for the sake of eco-systems, other species, or other people.

Were you watching the same thing I was? Ohh take those rose colored glasses off and replay it. Didn't you see them laughing a lot? We all are. The noble peace prize is a joke and has been for a long time. The only good thing about it is the money.

A good leader , leads by example and not just when it's convenient. People who have been fighting for green living are bashing Gore because although Gore has been preaching green living and global warming for over twenty years Gore has never taken steps in his own life to live green.... He didn't start "greening" his houses until the critics started bashing him last fall.. He of all people has had the financial resources to have afforded a green life for over twenty years...Many of us can't afford solar and wind mills but he has always been able to.. We can't afford electric cars etc... but he has always been able to and it wasn't until he was getting bashed this past winter and fall that he choose to start taking tiny steps to live green. He drives SUVs , FLys private planes and owns multiple estates with acres of cleared land >>>gore plant some trees on your estates......

Ed bagley jr. Has been living and speaking out about living green for over twenty years...He won't stay at hotels or eat in returants that can't prove they recycle and use recycled, He has been living it!!!!!!!! Gore is a political mouth piece that only preaches what will earn him attention...
