What is your best memory of Halloween from when you were a child ?

mine wasn't as a child but as a young adult!i went with a lot of friends and we all got dressed up[i was a witch];)
and we went downtown[it's the custom here to go to the town center]and walked around teasing people and then we went dancing!:)

I would have to say, when I was in high school (our class) some of the kids and myself put on a Halloween haunted house, we had different rooms with all kinds of gross stuff, lol........the kids loved it. That was 30 years ago though, things were a lot different then. There wasn't a lot of paranoid people running around like there is now a days.

I continually rejoiced on halloween yet something particular does stick out in my strategies from my childhood approximately them. It replaced into the only time i for my area observed a exciting area of my grandfather. He might gown up and positioned on a frightening mask whilst youngsters got here to our door (before we went out on our very own for the night). Then he might hand out the candy and ask what all and sundry of them replaced into dressed up as. this variety of intense-high quality time in life! yet I do agree that Halloween is dying out in my community. whilst i replaced into youthful we had greater than a number of toddlers walking around. Now fortunate if we get one group! So unhappy yet i assume the international has replaced :(

going to Greenwich Village at night, seeing all those outrageous costumes and crazy drunks! lol We drove around and everyone was blasting the music and dancing out their car windows and passing candy from car to car of complete strangers. Before that, we trick or treated in the neighborhood and some guy reluctantly gave us candy and said "Aren't you guys a little too YOUNG to be trick or treating?" lol then we stayed up for hours TRADING candy...thats like a tradtion. still remember all that. =o)

I lived in the suburbs and hauling home bags of loot on Halloween was a favorite thing to do! I used to have to go home and unload because my bag got too full.

When me & my best friend went as Laverne & Shirley...that is the one that stands out in my mind :-) Everyone that knew us said how perfect the characters were for us because you never saw us without each other :-)
