Pinay maid in Kuwait gang rape says no to settlement.

The 18-year-old Filipina victim of rape in Kuwait has positively identified all 15 of her abusers and vowed she will not agree to any settlement, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said today.
With this, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo has directed the Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Ricardo Endaya to personally handle the case of the Filipina rape victim.
Romulo also told the Ambassador to engage the services of lawyers to represent the Filipina in the legal proceedings.
Citing reports from the Embassy, the rape victim has already declared before the Kuwaiti press that she is determined to pursue the case against the suspects despite efforts to have her settle.

2) Intention is to purse criminal charges against the accused.

3) Circumstances are that she was allegedly raped by the suspects.

4) Conclusion is that she wants justice, meaning the suspects charged, prosecuted, hopefully convicted and sent to prison. She does not want the case sweep under the rug with a settlement and the suspects hiding behind confidentially clauses.
