It's normal for you to feel BH contractions a lot. They are in no way a sign of preterm labor. They are your body's way of getting ready- practicing. Your OBGYN was right, only if they get painful and regular should you worry.

Again, I am 46 years old and I have 2 grown sons. With my first baby, I had the BH the night before he was born and exactly 12 hours later, the real labor started. With my second, I didn't have them.
I had a friend that had them and the doctor made her rest because they were bad, plus the baby was laying on a nerve in her back.
Just keep an eye on how close they are getting and if they become stronger. The night I had mine, they were at 9 minutes apart and stopped. But I wasn't at 7 months either. Don't do anything strainful. Do NOT pick up anything, anyone (wee ones) if you can help it. Try not to do anything that is over head work. If you are or have been busy, try to SLOW down, take a breather. If you start to notice a discharge of any kind or leakage, call your doctor ASAP, please.
Take care of yourself and I pray everything goes to term for you and the baby!

oh, yeah, good ol' Braxton-Hicks contractions...drove me nuts ( and I'm sure my doctors too, with all my visits to check to be sure) that when I had what I thought was another bout with my fourth, I didn't even call the doctor...had my then husband bring me into the emergency room at 1 am apologizing to the nursing staff and asking if someone could check me so my doctor's sleep wasn't disturbed...was sure they'd send me toddling home until the nurse laughed and said.."You're not going anywhere, honey, you're eight centimeters dialated." Exactly one hour and twenty three minutes later # 4, a 10 pound girl, came roaring out faster than a freight train with almost no bearing down lol...
...if you suspect for a second that it's the real deal...call the doctor, that's what they are there for. Good Luck!

I also had B-H contractions that early...even earlier. they could commence as early because the starting up of the 2d trimester. as long as they're preventing once you adjust positions or lay down they're nevertheless purely B-H contractions. My well being care specialist counseled that I take it common at the same time as they all started up and to evade sex to be on the threat-free aspect. He wanted to understand if the contractions exceeded off more desirable than 4-6 situations in an hour. I had my toddler at 38 weeks (both childrens). So, it did not reason me any complications different that not with the flexibility to do as many chores as i mandatory to do greatest as a lot because the start. sturdy success!

i had so many BH during my first two pregnancies i didnt know what to think. they started even earlier with my second, with several daily BH from about 6 months on. it worried me sometimes but i think it was just my body getting ready lol. sometimes i would even have to stop walking and breathe my way through them - not painful but very very tight and making my breathing feel constricted. but each time i went to the doc everything was fine. my daughter was born 10 days before due date and it only took 4 minutes for her to come out (10 mins to go from 5 cm to 10 cm dilated) so now i joke that all those BH did the trick and got labour going super fast lol. i had them a lot with my first child too but i didnt really know what they were, i thought he was just stretching and pushing on me haha. that labour was only 25 mins so maybe the BH did the trick there too? who knows.

It might just be the baby turning upside down so he will be in position to come out head first.
Braxton hicks are the equivalent of the muscles doing stretching exercizes befor a long run. They can't just sit there for 9 months then all of a sudden be ready to push a baby out. They have to get in shape first.
