Hi, kissing was definitely banned on the french railways in the 1900's. This came up in a radio quiz quite recently.

Actually, according to the link Blue Dolphin gave, Etienne Lamy suggested in 1917 that prostitutes and socialists be banned from Paris railway stations. This due to the harm they could do to the "might and morale" of soldiers on leave.

I haven't been able to find whether or not this suggestion was acted upon.

Edit: The 1900s is a long period of time. Is it possible for you to get more specific? Thanks.
