Yes, when my grandpa died, my dreams were basically a re-make of his death and funeral over and over again and they always ended with the last time I saw his body at the wake.
Awhile after that they got better and turned into seeing him all the time at family gatherings and such, but they were always good because he was happy and healthy in them.

Yes! It was just plain old weird!
Running through my house, which had turned into a huge ball pit-like the ones at Mickey D's, and then the ostritch bringing us to NY, which was really my neighbors house...
I still can't figure it out...
