They get all kinds of "pops", and if they should own the pharmacy they of course, send their patients to it and receive the funds from that.

They are not supposed to get any sort of kickback, if that is what you mean. Drug companies do sell their products trough personal contacts with doctors. A representative will wine and dine the doctor in an effort to sell a product. It is a kind of legal drug dealing.

No. There are sometimes fringe benefits like an occasional dinner out with the pharma rep but thats it.

I was a pharmaceutical rep selling anti-depressants . . . no, they do not get money for every script.
