I no fan of his but do not believe he is. He always seems to be one step ahead of congress. Even after numerous controversies and resignations of cabinet members plus congress still in the palm of his hand (funding the war) I do not believe this man is an idiot.

You do not become president if you are "dumb"

Funny thing is that most of the people that call him "dumb" are no where even close to his intelligence level.

Being a bad public speaker and being dumb are two different things.

Anyone that doesnt see that is an idiot.

Yeah, so i'm specific you have been no longer something yet style to this president, and that i'm specific you on no account reported something approximately how we could desire to continually lay off Bush on account that he grow to be our president. for sure, you're too reliable to be doing that. yet you're additionally mischaracterizing outrage in the direction of Gen. McChrystal. he's a member of the militia, and hence a subordinate to Obama. Any militia member could desire to comprehend that speaking out against an excellent officer so vociferously as he did gets you in numerous worry. that's no longer speaking out against Obama in maximum circumstances we are railing approximately, that's a generic doing it interior the way he did, very publicly.

People vote for the guy (up til now it's been a guy) that they want to go have a beer with. I guess I will admit that he's not as dumb as dee dee dee ... but he's not as smart as many other Presidents we have had. He is not good at rhetoric, and it makes him appear less intelligent. He stood at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota and stood against a brick wall with a backdrop of the Badlands - that makes him appear less intelligent. He was suppose to come and talk about drought (in 2002 btw) and he talked about Iraq - which makes him seem less intelligent. He doesn't pay attention to history. When his father was President, his own advisors set on the Sunday morning pundit circle and said that it would be stupid to take out Saddam Hussein because it would lead to chaos in the region; we would be stuck there a very long time controlling a civil war. And he led us to war (or should I say bullied, calling every congressperson unpatriotic that didn't want to vote to give him power to start a military operation months before the election so close after 9/11) claiming that it would take months when he knew - his own advisors knew 10 years ago - it would take years. He didn't sell the war very well - telling people to spend money while at war doesn't make sense. He may not be dumb, but he doesn't seem to educate himself very well before he makes a decision - which makes him not as intelligent as I would like our future President to be. He is a great boom for comedians. Just my opinion.

He is an Idiot

However, you made an excellent observation, he does seem to a step ahead of congress but I credited it more to Karl Rove than him. Hes just a puppet.

He is stubborn, which in my opinion is worse than being stupid. He never moves from the mark in the sand he's drawn and if you have ever dealt with that kind of person it is rather disconcerting. You don't know what to do or how to act. So, it's not that he is so brilliant that he is out maneuvering them, it's just that he is unwilling to bend even a little and that is very, very dangerous and irresponsible for our country.

Not dumb but not intelligent either; he is just real clever at the game, at staying one step ahead and keeping his behind very well covered.

No. Not dumb, but stubborn.
Getting elected President takes some smarts,
picking yes men also takes some smarts.
But not listening to "elder statesmen" is pure
stubbornness.

It's really hard to tell how naturally intelligent he is or isn't. He is so bull-headed about so many bad ideas it makes him look really stupid. Give the man an IQ test and my guess is he's pretty bright, but he really got shorted when they were handing out common sense!

i agree. he isn't an idiot, he's way to cunning for that. i really don't like him to put it lightly but the way he duped us into believing that there were WMD's in Iraq was masterfully done. then we figured out that there weren't, but bush got out of that too.

He may not be dumb but as an American, he needs to master his own language of English & speak propererly & not say stuff like 'Is our children learning". He is also stubborn, a moron & an idiot

He got into Harvard by someone cheating. bush had a "C" average. He is not as stupid as he is arrogant and believes his way is the only way because his crew told him so. He ran all of the companies he had into the ground before getting into politics and now he is running America into the ground.
