Don't worry, my guppy's gravid spots turn pink or red, this is actually normal. If her stomach looks square, she will give birth soon. In the meantime, keep your tank at 80-81 degrees and make sure she has plenty of plants or aquarium accessories to hide behind while she gives birth.

In fact she doesn't hold for 7 months, but she can have fry every 28 days, which is the gestation period
I suspect that your guppy had already fry, and you didn't catch her giving birth, and if you don't have any plants, none of them survived because she has eaten them

Don't worry about her gravid spot, turning in a different color is absolutely normal, the black you usually see are the eyes of the unborn fry

Hope that helps
Good luck

Maybe she is not pregnant? Or she could have given birth already and ate the fry. It is quite common for this to happen.

Well, I am not sure that they can hold on to it for 7 months before giving birht, Also, I think you meant the sperm cells that the males give to the female.
