Too much water? Or have you been chucking the dregs of your tea on them? Tea is OK without milk in it, but if there was any milk in the dregs it goes off and smells sour.

Sounds like you have too much moisture and maybe you are putting odd stuff in your soil. You should re-pot everything, new soil etc. and then treat for the flies if you still have them. You bamboo plant may have some life left, if you wash the slime off the base and re-pot with moist soil but do not over water again. Mold on soil of the money plant certainly sounds like too much moisture, and it sounds like you might not have used a good potting soil and got some inoculate from outside soils or re-used potting soil from other plants. Of course you can get mold from spores in the air so it may not be a soil type issue, but when you re-pot use a good commercial potting soil. All you can do is try, hope they all live.

More than likely you are over watering, replace the potting soil and make sure that the pots have good drainage, to get rid of the fruit flies use two ounces of cider vinegar and two drops of liquid dish washing soap in a small glass or baby food jar, set several glasses of this mixture around, wait a few days and look through the bottom of the glass, you won't believe how many are in there...change the mixture as needed and leave out until all fruit flies are gone.

of course it's the over-watering. If you don't feel like repotting them all and risking the chance of killing them off during this stressful time then put some fine gardeners sand on top of the soil. Stand all plants on dishes filled with pebbles in future so the pots can drain - you can see how much you're watering then and the water in the dish creates humidity around the plants which they love - I swear by this.

Stop over-watering them. Look up the correct watering directions for each plant - and follow it.
It's possible that if you leave them alone long enough the problem will be solved, but it's also possible that you've already killed them - only time (dry) will tell.
Lightly spray a pesticide to kill the flies.

Don't be frightened, just get a good particle mask of the type that has replaceable filters and a silicone rubber seal. (i.e. not those cheap paper masks - those are next to useless). A decent mask will cost about $25 at most hardware stores. I use them for any jobs that are dusty, and I don't even have asthma.

At this stage the only option is to throw them out.
Next time use less water as both of these plants prefer to grow on the dry side.
