use supluric acid....
CuO + H2So4 = CuSo4 + H2
take dilute sulphuric acid in a beaker and add excess of copper(ll)oxide so that all the acid gets used up.heat and mix this solution wth a glass rod... when the bubbles of gas start coming out (which is hydrogen) this shopws the reaction has ended
filter the solution to remove any excess copper oxide then:
evaporate the solution to the point of crystallisation and u will obtain crystals of copper sulphate.

Add CuO to dil H2SO4 (warm) until no more dissolves.
Filter.
Evaporate the filtrate solution.
