well we are almost there and i would like to know when those critters and gobblins come and ring your door bell this Halloween.. 1)WHAT ARE YOU GIVING OUT TO THE CHILDREN THIS YEAR??? iS IT CANDY OR DO YOU GIVE SOMETHING UNIQUE??? 2) Do you check to see whats in your kids candy or you just let them eat it??? 2part question...go..

Hi. I usually give something other than candy. BJs had a package of 66 containers of playdoh for $10. I am going to get those this year I think. Previous years, I have gotten Halloween pencils, glow in the dark super balls; if you check out OrientalTrading.com, they have lots of Halloween items, and some of them are sold by the gross, which is 12 dozen, and you can actually spend less than you would on candy. Yes, I go through the candy.

Well, we used to give away homemade sweets and fairy cakes/biscuits but then many of people are suspicious of things that don't come prepacked. We also occasionally give away small toys/ Halloween themed party treats which they can pick from a bag.
Last year my sister was extremely disappointed when she only got one orange for Halloween after going door to door for the whole street. Usually I or a parent accompany her so we see what she is being given etc.

I give the kids commercial candy. Years ago, when people Weren`t so suspicious I would make chocolates for them. At one time I had over 100 candy molds, but all the personal items are now finished. How sad. My kids are grown now.

i never really cared for halloween, you have to constantly check your kids candy and things because there are crazy people out there to harm them. well if kids come i will give out lots of candy.my son is way overdo for halloween he is to old 16 year old, but when ever i did take him out as a child i would always check his candy out.

1. i give out the usual. i buy a variety (i.e, snickers, smarties, lollipops, chewing gum) put it all in a bowl, and i let them pick out 2.
2. i make them throw away fruit and opened candy bars or any opened candy. im sorry, but giving away fruit on HALLOWEEN?? that makes me nervous. they could have liked poisoned it..its that easy.

I usually am busy taking my kiddo out to pass out candy!! The fire station is our last stop we have our candy checked!!
