All but on one aspect, physical contact. It is the whole interaction of all your senses, emotions, and thoughts that make or break a relationship. There can be pieces missing like sight, hearing, or the spoken word, the other senses will compensate. Remove all the senses and you have a breakdown in the interaction emotionally and intellectually. One can be nothing more than an associate through the Internet if one has never had the physical contact. A person can delude themselves into believing that their is a solid connection but it will not last if there is no cement to hold it together. It's like having a favorite t.v. show canceled. Your gonna miss it but another will soon fill the time slot. Internet interaction is valid in that it lays a foundation for human social interaction, but with out the physical contact; touch, scent, and taste there is nothing to bind it solidly.

No, this is a one way medium, with actual interaction, it opens up all aspects, such as body language, vocal nuances, etc, that bring a whole different realm to socializing. This online stuff as the main social interaction will leave people socially unfit, so get up and get out, at least once a month, lol!

See? If I was in person you would know how to take that comment, but now you are puzzled, right?

It would constitute to social interaction but there is a little anonimity at first however as the interaction and exchange of ideas deepen it becomes more intimate. Especially with webcams and file sharing.

It is a very valid social interaction dictated by technology and the desire to reach-out and touch someone which is human nature...

hope it helps

Not totally, but it sure is less messy and more convenient.

This site seems (so far) to be a setup where you can actually have a real meeting of the minds which is often almost impossible to achieve in face to face interaction. So many other variables interfere.

No, people can hide a lot about themselves on the net. Human interaction is more rewarding, you see the person, can get honest reactions, see facial expressions.

I think they both have their upsides and downsides, but require different skill sets.

Human social interaction is probably more valid, but also more challenging.
