Mine is the 1996 playoffs, when he stoned the high-power Penguins in the Eastern Conf Finals. Of course, the Panthers in front of the Beezer were tackling Lemieux and Jagr, and the rest of the Penguins, but that's another story...

As a Panther fan I remember tons of him on the ice. All those begining years. He helped bring hockey to people here that didn't know what that was. The way he kept all of us up until two am in the last game versus the Avs is a huge stand out. But I will also remeber him seeing me at a Wendy's drive through and stopping to say hi. At that time the players knew the local Ice hockey players and fans real well. Unlike today. That is a huge thing I miss. EDIT. LITY I knew that as I am a player that is registered with USA Hockey. They have a real nice article about this is their lastest magazine.

During the 1996 Stanley Cup playoffs - dodging the plastic rats fans started throwing onto the ice after every Panthers goal (kind of like the Detroit tradition of throwing octopus on the ice).

I remember him playing like crap when he came to the Flyers.

However, Beezer always seemed like a good guy, from what I can tell he's a decent announcer as well.

Beezer is in the US Hockey Hall of Fame, not "The Hockey Hall of Fame"

My most vivid memory of John is when he gave up the winning goal too my Avs in the 96' Stanley Cup finals on a hot summer day in June.
