We were so poor that i had to wait until i was 5 for my mam to buy me a hat so i could look out of the window! Please don`t mock because it was really sad!

WHY DID YOU NEED A HAT TO LOOK OUT OF A WINDOW? If you had said--you were so ugly as a baby ,,your mam had to buy you a hood/hat to look out of the window,it would have worked.Besides,you were lucky ,my mam ran away before i was born ,so we never knew her.

Lol, ah bless, you think that's poverty, we were so poor I had to wait until I was 6 for my first party dress and that came from a jumble sale, I turned up all proud at the party only to be laughed at by the other kids because the clown looked better dressed than me, now that's poverty ha ha.

edit: Paws - I've never had a washing machine. The launderette closed, so I've been washing everything in the bath for many years. Washing is easy, drying is hard - it can take 3-4 days. I have no outside washing line.

My mum had 5 kids and she didn't have a washing machine for 10 years so she had to wash everything in the bath.

Hello, We was so poor me and my brother had to share three shoes between us everybody thought we where joined at the ankles because of the two feet crammed into one shoe.

We lived in a shoe box in middle of t'road. We used to lick road clean with our tongues.
Tell that to the youth of today and they won't believe you.

we were so poor, there was 78 of us in a cereal box but
eventually we were homeless cos we ate the box cos we couldnt afford food, hard times but its made me the person i am today

poor you were spoilt i had to wait till i was five before i was allowed to share the dogs bone but you tell that to the kids today they just wont believe you.
