Wow, pretty sophisticated reading for a 13 year old! It sounds as though you like biographical fiction or fictionalized biography....
How about "A Million Little Pieces" or "Lets Not Go To The Dogs Tonight"

I only read The Lovely Bones out of the four though. I would recommend you reading Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. It's for anyone of all age. It's based on the fairytale, Cinderella but trust me, it will be better than you think.
Ella is given a blessing at birth by a very stupid fairy: she gets the gift of obedience! But the blessing turns into a horror for Ella who literally has to do what anyone and everyone tells her - from sweeping the floor to giving up a precious necklace!
It's good. Try reading it.

"The Giver" by Lois Lowry...it's still my fave and I'm 22.
It is also one of the "most banned" books of all time.
