Try a heating pad or a warm bath for some of the cramping. If the cramping is so bad that you can't function then I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be causing the problem.

hot water bottle, put your feet up above your head as you rest and then munch some chocolate
best bet is to have a relaxing bath also
