While it might be nice to see long dead relatives again and to think we'll be living a life of eternal bliss, without proof, its just fanciful thinking. Man developed or created the concept of an afterlife to comfort themselves from the harsh reality of their utter doom and annihilation.

the moral of the story...."Live for Something rather than Die for Nothing"....

I personally believe that there is life after death, im not sure that i believe we go to a place filled with fluffy clouds and golden gates, but id like to think that since science has already proved that all things in this universe are connected by energy, much like that of our own brains that a part of our conciousness moves on..to what?.wo knows, maybe we become pure energy after death and can move through space and time..wouldnt that be wondrous, to spend eternity exploring the universe, other worlds, other dimensions...

There is life after death except only to those who have been saved by the grace of god. Also there is life after death to those who do not believe in god and have done things on this earth that god is unplease about ,hell is where these people are found,in utter torment for now and forever.

After death, one goes back to the situaltion prior to birth. Had there been a life prior to birth, there will also ba alife after death.

Both, we do not know, since what we all are began here in this world. so, naturally, our p[ersonal identiy of today also shall cease to be with deaths.

I sure hope so! I'm not done living yet!
I do feel that this life as we know it is not the extent of it.
There has to be something more out there.

Nobody knows. Anyone who tries to 'tell' you, is deluded and believes their own 'beliefs' to be correct even 'tho they can't support them.
I have my own beliefs but, since I've never been dead, I have no reason to believe that they're 'true' in any real sense.
