Lots of things can disrupt a menstrual cycle:
1. Too much stress
2. Hormone fluctuations
3. Insufficient nutrition
4. Change in activity levels
You should definitely speak to your doctor, especially if this happens again in the next few months.

this is so funny... i just went trough that like 3 weeks ago... ok i had the same as u...usually get cramps within 1 week..and my breast get tender... but it didn't happen til like 4 days after my period was late.... and i got worried... took like 5 pregnancy test all negative... so i started worring even more... i talk to my sister in law .... and she's a nurse... she told me give it ten days... that happened to me once... and i said it can't be possible am never late... she said it is your cycle just goes trough a change after a while... and my period was suppost to come on sep. 21 and guess what 10 days later i got it... october 1... so don't worry... and if it doesn't begin within 10 days... take another test... cuz doctors recommend your late at least 10 days... and if it still negative... then just go take a blood pregnancy test and that should give you your answer... but don't worry about it... it will come

Definetely Stress. I remember skipping a whole month due to the fact that I had so many doctors appointments to worry about in the same month. Panic attacks will make it late also. Try a cup of chamomile tea, or soaking in a bath of salt water. It will help bring it on.

Sometimes being stressed about something (whether good or bad) can cause the period to be late as well. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

i dont think so..i missed my period once..didnt had it till a month later..the reasons u miss ur period is 1.) ur pregnant, or 2.) ur stressed, or 3.) it depends on ur body structure,if ur skinny, then that might be it..so try not to worry about it..did u have sex? if so,and ur still worried, then try to get another pregnancy test..and if it says negative and ur still worried then go to a doctor.

If this happens often, you might want to research PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) Otherwise, it might just be stress or side effect of a new BC pill

Are you under a lot of stress? That could have some effects on our period too.

you haven't stated your age. if your over 40 things do go a bit haywire. if you're very young it takes a while for hormones to settle. there is nothing wrong with you but visit your doctor for expert advice that is what they are there for.
