An overall GPA of 3.3...works in my household, but you should find a tutor for math. Keep up the good work!!!
( a math A over here is worth $25 bucks! )

Your report card isn't bad at all. Find out why you have a C- in math. If it's because you really don't understand it, then talk to your parents about getting you a tutor, or go after school and ask your teacher or a teacher for help. If you have been doing all of your homework and classwork and you understand it, then go to your teacher and ask why you have your grade. Sometimes they make mistakes and don't give you credit on an assignment on accident. Try not to focus primarily on math, or your other grades might slip. Just put a little more attention on it. Also, if your parents havn't received the report card yet, tell them before hand. They might get mad at you at first, but if you really show you're working hard to bring it up later on in the year, then they'll be proud of you. Don't surprise them with the grade or they're going to think you didn't do everything you can to get a good grade. That's what my dad thinks, and for the past couple of years i have been hiding my report cards. Don't even try that. I'm in my Junior year now and it took me a while to figure out that school isn't for my parents, it's for me to be succesful in life.

Definitely work harder on the Maths. It is better to have straight B's across all subjects than it is to have a few A's in some subjects, and C's in really important subjects like maths.
Also as you progress through later years in school, it will be harder to maintain A's , so be mindful of that.
**Make a special effort to work harder at maths.** Spend more time studying maths , and most importantly, ask for help if you need it.
Other than that, your report card is great. Keep up the standard, and you will breeze through high school. Good luck

yeah same here. im a freshmen at high school right now and my grades are horrible for the first 6 weeks! My mother wants me to get straight A's as well (since parents do care a lot about us and we, of couse, care about ourself as well).
i think you should focus a bit more on the math section because you have a c minus and even though its a passing grade..it would really be better if you achieve at least an A- on math.
science, pe and english seems to be ok. just a little bit more harder and you will get there no problem. i know your not in highschool right now but trust me, the harder we work, the better our future. concentrate the math portion and there you go, sets of A's on your report card. hope this helps and goodluck with your next report card.

It's between good and average, like a 6/10, but for a strict family you should watch out!

If that's a bad report card then I'm in trouble.
To answer your question no it's not. 3 A's. 3 B's and a C is def not bad.
My friend has the same problem with her parents. They should see that you're trying your hardest but you're your own person. Everyone has subjects that they're good at and others that they're not so good at.

Don't worry about it, you are only in year 8.
That's pretty much what I got when i was in year 8, except I got A for science and maths, but B and C for other stuff.
Just work harder for your higher years, you'll be fine.
I got straight A+ for years 11 and 12, now I'm in med school.
Good luck!
P.S Your bottom might be a bit sore though.

GEEZ...thats ok you're parents should be happy for you trying you're best and if you know you try then tell them to stuff-it!!!
you should just get what you're given in grades and not worry about you're parents!!
my brother gets all D's/C's my parents say something about his, but not mine (i am bout the same as you) but i spose they look good compared to my brothers!! but please they are too harsh if they give you **** 4 that..no jokes..but i spose i am british.....so it mite be different ..though i have harsh parents too!!
YOU so can't be perfect..you're probably average..and i see maths is a little lower but i am crap at ,maths too..well u mite not be!!
school is only for you NOT you're parents..think of it like that even if they care its ur educ. not thiers..
