Life has a different purpose for everyone. You go to school and you figure out what you want to do. Then you go on to college or uni and build on that. After you may want to start a family or just party with your friends. Really you should just do whatever makes you happy and you will have lived your life how you feel necessary. Hope that helped!

IF there is an External God, then my Purpose in life is Preordained, and I Must ("free will" allowing) spend my life Searching to Discover that purpose, or Choose to simply exist. At the end of my life, I will have either succeeded or failed in that Search, and The God will "grade" me on my success.

IF there is No External God, then my Purpose in life is Not preordained. I MAY (free thought still allowing) spend my life Creating a Purpose, or Choose to simply exist. At the end of my life, whether my choices be for good or ill, I Will Have Succeeded, for the only true judge is The God AS Me.

Yeah, "have fun" working on This one for the rest of your life ! :-)

Peace.

The word purpose requires an intelligence or design. You cannot be here on earth for a purpose unless there is a God who created you for a reason. Purpose requires God.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

I think most people assume that if God exists, He sent us here to help one another. Certainly not to have fun while other people starve.

While I think God exists and does expect us to help one another, there is a more important purpose. If we accept that God might exist, seeking Him would be far more important than seeking purpose for once you find God you find both God and purpose.

It is the Christian idea that we are here to seek God and find God through our experiences in trying to love our neighbor as He commanded us to do. Where love is, there God is also.

We should all just have fun until we find out if there is a purpose for us.
I do think though that fun has to be socially accepted by a wider community as hurting other in any way at all is to get fun at someone else's expense.

Everyone has to decide what their purpose in life is. Fun is a poor pursuit in life, but a valid one. Raising children, creating a marriage, pursuing a career or developing as an artist would be much higher on my list.

There is a purpose in this life, people should enjoy their fun without harming others - be good to your fellow man and life will be good to you - well that has worked for me.

Yes there is. The purpose of our life is for God, to glorify Him in everything we do. I suggest that you read the Book of Rick Warren - The Purpose Driven Life. It is clearly stipulated in the book the purpose of Life.
