i used to think like that believing that the hard way of something will make me the best and give me the best results,but it didnt often do this really....i then found quite the opposite in SOME CASES
it is like a rough big sea you throw yourself into ,wanting to pass to the other shore but one wave can get you back to where you started....

Taking no shortcuts is not simple. It requires fortitude, "backbone," moral stamina. It also requires a well defined epistemology. Sounds like you have have all those.
