I KNOW, I live near Burbank and it's STILL raining after all these hours.. my dog has to pee, and I can't let her outside! Oh rain, rain go away, come again another day.. :o) Well, if you've lived in So. Cal long, you'll know that the weather here is absolutely CRAAZZYYY!!! I have my winter wardrobe and summer wardrobe, and everything in between, in my closet 24/7. I never put anything away. Sometimes it rains in summer, and it's so cold that you need a jacket.. and other times, it's HOT as heck in winter/fall.. so it's just really weird, and has been this way for as long as I can remember. Just gotta go with the flow, and check the weather reports daily! Wear socks when you go to bed, they always help.. if one isn't enough, wear 2 pairs. Good luck! :o)

Oh quit complaining you spoiled, fragile, pretty-girl type people. "Like OMG it's been raining for like... 3 hours!" It's been raining for 3 weeks up here in the Pacific Northwest. Day time highs barely made it up past 60 for only 1 or 2 days here. Nighttime temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Today we finally get a peak of sun, but still cold as ever and back to rain again. You know what? Rain is good for the most polluted city in America, Los Angeles.

Heat is the average kinetic energy a molecule has.
In Cali this year, there was A lot of heat, this caused the water from the pacific to evaporate and form clouds which rained. this caused a sudden decrease in temp all round.
but hey, back here in india, its too cold for this month. so i must say, it a world round phenomena

Believe me, you would appreciate the weather in california more if you had to endure winters in upstate New York. It always amazes me when a californian talks about how cold it is. They have no idea how cold it can get. It's all relative.
I am a happy northern california gal!

The jet stream, that current of air at 18,000 feet is what is driving the storms. It is now taken a dip South and is giving you what we had in the Pacific Northwest last week.
