Okay...the song didn't even come out til 1992, so the movie would have come out after that.

After researching this, I find that the SS video "Stay" itself was the big feature, being banned in two countries due to its resurrection/witchcraft possibilities, and that the only soundtrack offering the duo have is for the Flintstones movie.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you'll have to think of the movie itself (title, actors) and then backtrack to find out what band actually DID do that song.
