My son is being bullied at school. The school has cameras all around and it is still happening. They get a warning and are then isolated in school rather than be sent home for bad behaviour. I think they should have a photo of the bullies on the school notice board for all to see for the week, or make them wear a bright yellow vest saying idiot of the week all week and made to clean the yard at break times and lunch time. No one would want the humiliation of that would they? Would it work? Forget human rights, what about the victims' human rights?

My son and daughter were both being bullied at school. This is one of the reasons we decided to home school.
Unfortunately, I feel your remedy would simply make the bullies more aggressive. You have to remember they are kids and the root of the problem most likely lies within their home environment. Bullies are acting out to get attention, most likely the attention they aren't getting at home. Children's' behavior is a direct result of how they are treated. Treat a child as a bully and they will continue with the same behavior. Give the child a reason to have good behavior and they will have good behavior.
The sad fact of the matter is children are a product of their environment don't punish the child for behavior they learned from home.
The unfortunate fact of public school is that teachers and administrators simply don't have the time, the energy or the funds to deal with bullying in schools. They are too busy trying to keep each child from "being left behind".

Our solution to home school is the best decision we ever made. though is is difficult, at times, my children are much happier and the quality of their friends is much better. plus I don't have to worry about my son getting his lunch ruined by a bully.

We cannot forget human rights and the victims are humans with rights too, aren't they? You need to work with your school administration to fix this problem. It is a very unhealthy situation and they are responsible for fixing it. Ask them for a plan. If they cannot help, then go above the school to the district level administration to seek a remedy.

No, your plan really cannot involve torturing the bullies, even if they deserve it.

i agree.
bullys are a bad thing.
knowing i have no room to talk cause i used to be a semi bully. I only beat kids up in school if they messed with me first. if they didnt i left things alone.

id teach your kid how to defend him self so he dont get hurt.

my brother is 9 and in fourth grade these kids always used to pick on him and i kinda tough my brother how to fight and he beat him up and the kids that picke don him havent touched or said anything to him since.

i wish there was a better way other than making your kid fight but he has to learn sometime right?

bullying is horrible I remember in middle school bullies were to wear a pink shirt that said failure as they picked up trash around the school yard while kids were running around.
I remember this one guy he looked so funny and never bullied anyone again.

Bullying in school is horrible its a reason they're fights in school, suicides, attendence issues, bad grades, lack of confidence, and communication skills.

I agree. Humiliation is one of the best forms of punishment.(not anything to drastic or demeaning) teaching your kid how to defend himself is priceless. A great self defense martial art is Hop ki do
