Lord he is one fat piggy! I know you're one of the greatest hitters of all time, but god, get on a goddamn treadmill!

Good God, I was shocked at the sight of Tony in the booth! He was always thick as a player, but he has really packed on the pounds in a big way. Put that man on a treadmill or something, sheesh!!!

It looks like he's put on 10-15 lbs for every year he's been retired, and that's not healthy. It was scary to see him sitting in the booth with a giant shirt on looking twice as big as Brenly and Caray. I half expected to see kids on his lap asking for Christmas presents- ho, ho, ho! Please, T, for your own sake, eat some Subway, or try NutriSystem, or take a WALK for crying out loud!

Puckett got a lot, um, beefier after his retirement too, and that didn't work out so well.

Gwynn has always been pudgy, at least compared to other players on the field. You shoulda seen him play in '97 though -- amazing season -- he was really fit that year, lean, downright slender compared to regular Tony. Smacked 220 hits, including 49 doubles & 17 homers, massive .372 AVG. But then it was back to thick Tony, and he was in his late 30s, and he gave us a decent wind-down to his career and the 3000 hits milestone (1999).

When they show the guys in the booth you can barely see the other two, they have to kind of lean into Tony for their faces to be seen. All Tony needed was Princess Leia on chain dancing for him because he looks like Jabba The Hut now.

You should have more respect for a legend. He earned his right to relax and enjoy all the foods he couldn't eat because he was always working out and watching his calorie intake. He's older and maybe he doesn't want to be muscular anymore. Do you think Charles Barkley needs to go on a diet, too?? Focus on how great a broadcaster he turned out to be!!

If I had all his money, I'd probably feed my face all the time with great food, too.

But yeah he does look fat. Nice class guy though.

One of these days, you'll age my friend and you're muscles will turn to fat, too. Unfortunately, it's a flaw with many African and European decedents.
