Well it depends on what you like drinking (coffee, tea, wine ,ect)
If you want to have herbal tea then that will help you relax, listen to music that you like.
What i do is have a bath, put some bath salts, and just relax..i also take an old cd player, with a speaker..and play the music i like, it is really nice and relaxing, and then i either go to bed and sleep, do sit in bed and read a book that interest me.
An other thing you can do is go for a walk to a park or somewhere you enjoy.
Watching a movie you like, things like that..but ofcourse without any interruptions.

The green Tea Library: A large body of scientific studies demonstrates that green tea, even in moderate amounts, has a wealth of beneficial health properties, and may ward off or combat a variety of ailments by: Boosting the immune system Regulating cholesterol levels Fighting the build-up of sticky plaque in the arteries Interfering with the cancer process Assisting in weight loss Fighting harmful bacteria and viruses Protecting the body against free radical damage Wilkipedia: Some believe peppermint tea has healing effects, as a result of the menthol that it contains. It may ease such problems as irritable bowel syndrome, nausea and vomiting. Its minty flavour can take the edge off bad breath, and it can also control mild asthma and even help to manage stress. It is a good remedy to ward off wintertime colds. Some brands of peppermint tea list these benefits on their labels. However, peppermint tea has muscle relaxant properties and therefore may relax the lower esophageal sphincter, allowing the contents of the stomach to move upwards into the esophagus. For this reason, patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are advised to avoid peppermint.

Hi Ethology~
Drinking Chamomile tea helps relax and get you ready for bedtime. I think you have to be a good judge as to how much tea you can drink before bedtime so your sleep doesn't get interrupted later as a result of it.
Also, doing a PM yoga session ~16 minutes via DVD has put me to sleep on the mat on more than one occasion. I use Rodney Yee's AM & PM/Stress Yoga, by GAIAM.
Hope this helps!

Herbal teas have a very mild effect. A good massage relieves stress but it can get expensive. Gentle, stretching yoga is a form of self massage if done correctly.

Meditation helps me relax when I'm stressed. Herbal teas also work well, I personally enjoy peppermint but whatever suits your taste should work.

You sleep between 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. That's the time when your cells repair themselves naturally. I mean, deep sleep, continuous. Drink Greenlife Coffee twice a day, one in the morning and one before going to bed.

Teas absolutely help. Especially combined with a good book or television show (depending on your preferences) and pajamas. A hot shower/bath always helps too!
