I was a web and graphic designer at a firm for years and I just recently quit and went into business for myself. I'm a NEW business so I don't have a lot of cash and obviously can't afford to go have my phone number printed onto a billboard. I just got my first 3 jobs (all of which came from Craigslist) and I'm looking for new advertising methods so the customers will come to me, I won't have to find a web designer wanted ad and find them! I did design a postcard and have a local print shop print up 250 of them then I went through the yellowpages and got the addresses of businesses that had display ads with no website address listed. Do you think this is an effective form of advertising? The only problem is that i was very time consuming. I was thinking about maybe putting an ad in my church bulletin or some type of community magazine?

ANY ideas would be appreciated!

Where would you look ifyour business needed a website?

Would search for your website, if it is outstanding it would show your work. I might also check yellow pages or ask our tech support people.
