Im trying to talk to family and friends through my microphone. It the ones that come with your computers, one of those cheap crappy ones. Its worked fine for years but just recently its having a problem. From what I'm told with people who I talk to when i talk i am barly heard and can only get a word hear and there when i talk. That my voice is very staticy and screechy.

What do i need to do to solve this problem???

I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY REDUCING THE VOLUME OF YOUR MICROPHONE IF THE VOLUME IF FULL IT GIVES A LOT OF DISTURBANCES .YOU WILL HAVE TO DOUBLE CLICK THE SMALL SPEAKER LIKE ICON YOU TASKBAR
AND ALSO TRY TWISTING THE WIRE WHILE YOU ARE TALKING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS YOU CAN CHECK OUT YOUR VOICE BY RECORDING IT THROUGH YOUR MICROPHONE ON WINDOWS VOICE RECORDER.IF STILL THE PROBLEM PRESIDES BUY A NEW ONE THEY VERY CHEAO I TOOK A NEW ONE AT RS 50(AROUND 1.20 $)

Yes I do. All the time. Incessant chattering that won't stop unless I consciously tell them to stop. Just on and on and on. So many messages. So many stories. So many cries for help. It's overwhelming. When I'm lying in bed sometimes, just as I'm about to drift off, I hear someone call my name (I'm not sure if it's in my head or in the room) Sometimes I can decipher between the internal and external, but most of the time I'm focusing so much on what is being said I lose sight of it. Anyway- always my name first- and different voices. And I get the feeling that when some voices say my name, they're saying it for the first time, like someone just told them my name and they call it out excitedly to see if it works. The doctor gave me a prescription once. I never took it. I don't think I'm crazy. I can function just fine in society.

I'd suggest a new microphone.

Jiggle around the plug a little, and try twisting it.
