YES! Definitely. In my culture(moreso than other cultures), boys are more permissive to do things. The saying goes, a guy can do anything, and a girl can do nothing. Girls are supposed to be all conservative, not even have thoughts of boys until they're wed. Whereas boys, will be boys, so they will chase, and be persistant.
But girls are supposed to resist...if they don't, they are labeled as a bad girl...it's their fault for even looking at the boy with an attractive eye. Sometimes boys will make up stories to get a girl, and she's screwed, because that is what society might believe. It's permissable for a boy to satisfy his curiosity by touching a girl(just a fondle, nothing major), but if a girl attracts attention to it, she gets the blame. They say that girls should watch and not get touched in the first place, instead of slapping a guy for doing so. The thought is that the girl wanted the attention.
In this country its the same way...a girl will wear something, maybe just to get noticed by guys, or maybe she thought she'd look cute in it, so she wore it. Next thing u know, she's getting a lot of unwanted attention, and many wonder what she wore to get it...and it might not be anything. Men stick together and back their gender up. Women don't. Girls are catty, and are often alone when they get themselves in sticky situations...not to mention they automatically blame themselves a bit too.
But when a guy is in that sort of situation where he's the victim, he's not seen as a victim, it's a good thing...and yes, I know the guy victim might not feel this way, but society thinks its ok for a guy to be sexual and a girl not to be. Then there's the fact that in my culture anyway, a guy won't marry a "bad" girl, but u know, in his bachelor days, he won't look at a good girl either. I think this is y girls dress the way they do...we want ur attentiion, but u should keep ur hands to urselves. Also, if we don't want to do something with u...u shouldn't put us down for it. It also applies vice versa. One time fred durst called britney spears a slut...but he slept with her anyway! Y would u do that? Slut is a deragatory term for a female, and it isn't flattering, but u go and bone her anyway? Then y call her such a name? Y sleep with her if that's how u truly felt? See, this is y nice guys don't get a fair shake with girls, because we don't know who u are.
Then of course, u have the power to break our hearts, because we know, that even if we do all u want us to do, and try to be the best for u. U guys will just go after the next hot thing because u want a challenge...because hey, ur always looking right? Then we get blamed for not keeping our men in check. But then when we do try to control u and tell u y, u go and do the thing we don't want u to do because well...if ur being accused of it, y not?
We get blamed for that too. So then we haVe to put up with it. But then again, we're seen as weak. Women(atleast in my culture), don't get a break. We can't be free with our sexuality the way guys can...we get a bad wrap if we're too free, or not free enough. Girls are damned if they do or don't. I've been implicitly called a whore for talking about sex(never doing anything), but a prude for holding out. Yeah, I know guys go through this too, but it's not as bad for u...i don't think. I hate being a girl in my culture!!!!!!='(
There's more in my heart, but I think this is long enough. I hope this is the sort of long response u wanted. I hope i didn't miss the mark completely!

I am happy with my gender as a girl, there is not much difference between man and woman in intelligence ,the only difference is their body function on procreations, father love and mother love is the same. Some women are very strong like a man.I am not strong to lift up things, but I can hire a man to do these things for me.

When I was growing up, I often envied boys because it seems like they always got away with things, if I broke my curfew I was grounded I don't think my brother even had a curfew, I couldn't stand preps and so therefore, I was tom boyish. As I grew older and met my husband I begin to enjoy being a girl a little more so I of course grew out of the tom boy phase. I now have a son and I must say being pregnant and a mother has made it all worth while being female so I use to envy boys now I just pity them.

Only because I feel I hold more in common with the male gender-maybe because my dad raised me. For example, I do not feel that anyone should be given preferential treatment regardless of gender-men should not make more money and women should not be excluded from combat in the armed forces. Both men and women should know how to cook, clean, sew, change a tire, change a baby, change the oil and change the toilet paper!
It please me that this is becoming a more common mindset in today's world.

1.guys dunt have to worri about going thru 9 months on hell when they are pregnant
2.guys dont get there period(when i get mine im in soooooooo much pain...i wont go into detail tho...lol)
3.a man expects women to cook, clean, and still have love making time that is alot of things
4.women arent given the respect they deserve in society
5.men dont have as much pressure to look good....all they have to do is wear a suit or a polo with sum baggy pants and sum name brand sneakers and they are good(tht is not the case with females)
and thts y i would rather b a man(the man reason is the whole period thing-i hate tht!)

Yes, I often wish I was born a male. No periods, so no cramps, PMS etc. Guys don't have to give birth. I was raped and abused by males, which wouldn't have happened if I was a male.
Guys are less emotional and it's been proven that they worry about things less than woman.

well being a girl, you have to put up with having periods, child birth/pregnancy, cooking, cleaning, being over looked because you're a girl, being weaker, fashion/beauty. if you have dark skin that makes it even worse. but i wouldn't trade my gender for the world. i'm a girl, brown and proud, and hope to be very successfull one day. successful women, especially black women, are very inspirational, because despite their strifes of being a woman and black, they make it out on top! examples, oprah and tyra banks
