Amy Tan is an amazing author...
Her books "The Bonesetter's Daughter" and "Saving Fish From Drowning" were also really good... If you liked either of these you'll like the Joy Luck Club....

Yes, a litle emotional, very realistic and well written a series you will want to get in proper order and you won't want to miss any of it. I coiud read it over in a year and enjoy even more as I am a speed reader a do miss things that a catch the second time around. If I had room I would purchase rather than use Library
