I used to have the same problem.....three days before it would start until about two days into my period. I used to take so much medication to help the pain that I was always fuzzy. My doctor gave me a prescription for annaprox (basically alieve) that really helped for awhile and then in March I had a thermal endometrial ablation to help with all the issues and that really helped. I'm not saying surgery is the best answer but when your in that much pain it's definitely something to consider.

Having cramps during your period is quite normal. It is okay to take a pain reliever medicine, but please check with your Doctor first to see if you may be allergic to something in the medicine. The pain does not really reduce after losing your virginity, but over time, when you are used to having your period monthly, you will notice that you are really not too bothered by the feeling of the cramps anymore and will know what to expect from then on. I hope that my answer has helped you. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Try cranberry juice as a diuretic. Some of your pain may be due to swelling, even if you can't see it and the cranberry juice will help. Also, bananas are good for cramps because they are high in potassium. Heating pads, warm baths, ice packs, and lots of naps could help, too. Seeing your doctor would be a good idea, too. Hope you feel better soon.

Have you tried going on birth control? I went on the pill and my cramps got lighter, and my period shortened from 7 to 3 days. Even if it doesn't ease the pain, it would be better if they're shorter. I'm sure you've tried this, but lay down with a heating pad on your stomach or lower back, wherever it hurts most. HTH!

I used to have the same problem. However, I went and spoke with my doctor about the problem. He recommended, aleve it should help you cope with the cramps. Also, he said that I should drink more water. Also, try to drink some warm tea, or coffee. Take a warm bath. If your periods are regular, try to take some meds 2-3 days before your period starts- It does help. Hope this helps.

I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think it could be because of how severe your cramps are. One possibility could be endometriosis but the doctor will try to help you figure out what could be causing this.
