I am not a Hannah Montana fan.. Heck, im 33 years old, but I have a nephew who is 6 and a baby cousin who is 7. They love Billy Ray Jr.... But I just read the article about how the scum, that is the second hand market scaplers, are taking advantage of parents and kids like my little tikes.
These venues have been relying on ticketmaster as far as I can remember. I live near a venue that has a 17000 seat capacity. And if you have 3 dates for the event, that would be easily 51,000 seats filled. AND when I get playoff hockey tickets, its sold out within 1-2 hours for just 2 dates. Hannah Montana is in a market that is ten times bigger than a hockey game ANYWHERE. Do you see whats wrong with this picture? Why are these venues dependent on ticketmaster when these tickets WILL be sold? I think Ticketmaster has worn out its welcome and these venues HAVE to sell is directly to the fans and Hannah Montana should cancel those dates. Come on!! $4500 for a ticket in Hartford,CT???

Yes, my daughters birthday is December 7th, the concert in Cincinnati is the 11th.
That was my birthday gift to her, part of it. It was paid for and everything
THEN: lo and behold, i get this notice in the mail saying my credit card had been CREDITED and someone ELSE got my tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean to tell you I HAD THE TICKETS and they actually SOLD MY TICKETS to SOMEONE ELSE right out from under my nose!!!
and btw, anyone who is stupid enuff to pay 4500.00 for a ticket is stupid indeed
she is only another human being and if we are teaching our kids to WORSHIP another human, then that is just WRONG!

Yes, i wanted my daughter to see Miley, but that was for 45 bux....no way in the world should ANYONE pay that much for a ticket!!! thats just idol worship

Amen to that! I have fought the good fight on all this tween stuff but have finally given in a bit. My daughter is a big fan and her friends are going to see Hannah Montana when she comes to Houston. My sweet little girl was crushed when she found out that they were all going. All I could say was that I could buy a couple of used cars for the price of the show. So sad.

Hannah who? They're little kids. Take them to a park or a kid's museum for goodness' sake, and let them live a little instead of paying good money to watch a girl in person that they've already been staring at mindlessly on tv.

Wouldn't be much better to have her CDs instead, then when the novelty finally wears off, then you could always have a yard sale.
That's what we did when Beatlemania finally lost its appeal at our house, when we were teenagers.
And when my sons went through the C&W phase, then the Madonna early years and so forth, all this stuff has becomes specials at one yard sale or another.
And recently, I noticed that the yard sale box has new CDs in it that are to longer, "to die for."
Avril has fallen out of favor at our house.

$4500 a ticket? Nobody sings (is that what she does?) that good. It better be a hell of a show for that price. People need to put that money towards their childs education.

Capitalism is good !!!! Why complain? That is the way it is. Supply and demand.

There are people willing to buy at that price. If no one buys the scalped tickets then this problem wouldn't happen. No good solution to this issue.

Find something better for them to see. They'll get over it. Are you really that hard up for ideas? Tickets over 3 bucks for that show are too much.

I think the whole Hannah Montan epidemic is terrible. There's no more good kid shows these days. But yes $4500 for a ticket is absolutely ridiculous.

I don't know. I haven't been able to afford a concert or game for years because of the ridiculous prices.
