The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers. No team came within 14 points of them and they destroyed the #2 ranked Florida Gators 62 to 24 in the National Championship Game.

College Football has 100 years of awesome football. There is no way for us that are in our 20s-30's to decide which team was the best.
In my lifetime I have to say that USC has been that team.
In the past you have teams like Ohio State and Oklahoma.
In the beginning of college football, it was dominated by Princeton. Those games and the way they were, are totally different then the way they do the championships today.

i think strong about Tennessee, i imagine they could marvel some human beings this 365 days. very last 365 days, they were a disappointing 5-6 which led to an excellent style of human beings to absolutely write off Phil Fulmer and the Vols. although, they're a crew with an excellent style of custom and a superb style of skills, i imagine they could truly exceed expectancies this 365 days. at the same time as i'm no longer going to assert that the SEC East is wide-open, i imagine there's a incredible style of room for UT to toughen, and they have were given the strategies to finish that. Vanderbilt and Kentucky will likely occupy the cellar back, South Carolina's were given Spurrier, yet they nonetheless don't have everywhere close to the skills the Ol' Ball coach did in Gainesville, Georgia would properly be splitting time between a senior and freshman QB, continually a recipe for disaster, which leaves Florida, who ought to really be strong next 365 days regardless of each and every of the doubts human beings have about Chris Leak. i'm no longer asserting Tennessee wins the SEC or something, I in basic terms imagine they're going to be markedly more suitable ideal than very last 365 days and win possibly 8-9 video games.

The 1971 Nebraska Cornhuskers. Why? Because they beat the second best team of all time - the 1971 Oklahoma Sooners. They don't call it the 'Game Of The Century' for nothing.

I would say last year's Ohio State team, running the regular season and with unbelievable playmakers like Troy Smith, Ted Ginn Jr., Antonio Pittman, Gonzalez, Lauranitis, on and on...but they got absolutely pummeled by Florida as everyone knows. So I think it's gotta be the 1907 Penn team that went undefeated with an average margin of victory being 67. They had 6 heisman candidates, never gave up more than 7 points in any game, and turned the ball over one time as well as only punting one time. Joseph Lammettman was the quarterback and he threw for 64 TD's in only 9 games. He completed 88% of his passes and the coach that year was Lou Holtz.

They have a hard enough time trying to figure out who the best team of any particular year, so how do you think they can figure it out? I say the 68 bucks, they beat OJ Simpson and lived to tell about it.
