When I was breast feeding my twin boys I actually became sick from malnutrition. I was putting out enough milk, my kids were healthy and well feed, but I wasn't. I was losing weight at a rapid pace. I would eat ever half an hour, because I would be starving. Plus I was taking a multivitamin. In the end I ended up in hospital and was on a drip for a week to put some nutrition into my body. Thankfully though my boys were (and still are) healthy. I went to formula feeding after that. My doctors pretty much ordered it. I have been very careful this pregnancy to try and eat a balanced diet and store some body fat. Isn't working real well, but I see a Nutrition Specialist once a fortnight to try and stop what happened to me before, repeating. As for the Iron deficiency, the mother should be taking Iron supplements. Which would balance out the levels. Healthy Mum = Healthy Baby

It probably has more nutritional value than your McDonald barf-burgers.

There would be a lot of starving Lapps if that was the case.
