I was thinking would it be a good idea is Daunte Culpepper went to the Bears and take over as QB, since he has a 1 year deal with the Raiders I think it would be Great if Culpepper wears #8 for the Bears instead of Grossman who is in a way overrated.

It could actually happen considering the improvemant he has shown this year and the fact that Oakland is going to be moving with Russell next year. A lot of teams are going to be showing interest in Daunte Culpepper.

Well Daunte definitely set himself up for an audition year this year in Oakland, with his one year deal, and there's definitely going to be some people in the market for him this offseason, but I think the Raiders are going to convince him to stay on unless Russell pulls a Vince Young and they start him in week 9 and he plays well for them. McCown to the Bears would be the more likely scenario.

Russell probably wont start this year, though, because of his long holdout, if Pep keeps playing well. They'd want to keep Culpepper on to mentor Russell either way, as they're very similar in their QB style and Culpepper could give him a lot of valuable advice and help him mature more quickly than other veteran backups in the league, so I think the Raiders will pay him what he wants to stay 1 more year and compete with Russell for the start, and ship McCown off to the market.

Even if he does elect to go elsewhere no matter what the Raiders might offer, I'm not sure Chicago would be where he ends up. Atlanta is hurting worse for a QB, and they have way more salary cap to spend on him than Chicago, who have a lot more big money contracts already, and always have to franchise their defensive stars. Atlanta would also welcome him as a hero, the guy that put the Michael Vick era behind them, and would be a lot closer to his Florida home.

Hell, the Dolphins might even make a run to get him back if Cameron can overcome the ineptness in their front office. And the Vikings might make a bid to get him to come back there, as well... they need a QB pretty bad, and they're looking like a team thats only one more season and a good QB away from competing for a playoff spot.

The possibility i very real. Here's my spin on this. Al Davis and company wrote a large check to Mr. Russell. He's not going to be benched for long. The Raiders not only hired Culpepper for his football ability but as a training tool for Russell to watch. Russell will do well in the 2008 pre-season against the 2nd and 3rd stringers and they will start him. Culpepper has turned the Raiders around a bit and made the team......less of a toilet then they were last year, making his trade value more substantial.

The Bears need to stop worrying about their QB situation so much and focus on the offensive line. Grossman and Griese are not much to talk about. Grossman and Griese are not great/good QBs. As a Broncos fan I had to sit through Griese and his "I'm the next John Elway" style of play.

I say definite, even regardless of the truth that i'm a supporter of Rex. Greise is getting previous, and adversarial to eco-friendly Bay, he performed as undesirable as Grossman did. I say deliver him as a backup and if Grossman would not carry out, enable him start up. yet I anticipate a more suitable ideal season from Rex regardless of the truth that, with the aid of the indisputable fact that become his first finished season and he did rebound from injuries to take the Bears to the Superbowl ( Yea i comprehend it become Urlacher and friends, yet he did what Orton did not). So have Grossman start up, and if he would not carry out, then Culpepper will be middle if, and that i discussed "if" healthful.

Why would the Bears want a QB that might prove to be competent? I think they've shown that they're only interested in garbage QB's.

Not that I don't like Daunte. But I think the Bears will have better options than he to go with.
